It’s Open Enrollment Season Through November 30
Open Enrollment begins Nov. 1 and continues through Nov. 30. Associates are highly encouraged to review existing benefit elections and decide whether election changes are needed. All elections made will become effective Jan. 1, 2024.
Don’t forget to visit ALEX at www.myalex.com/exchange/home. ALEX is here to help associates decide which plans best fit their needs. ALEX can also be found in Employee Self Service.
For those who don’t plan to make any changes, no action is required. However, associates who would like to maintain their Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) will be required to enroll each year.
For 2024, the premiums will be increasing 5%, so this is a great time to consider enrolling in a Health Care FSA to help cover co-pays, prescriptions and other eligible health care expenses. For associates in the United States who are enrolled in the High Deductible Health Plan, an HSA is offered in place of an FSA to help with those expenses.
When you are ready to make your elections you may do so in eBenefits, which is located in Employee Self Service.
Effective 2024, you get money for eligible health care expenses when you complete health incentives. Once your first completed health incentive in 2024 is received, you’ll be sent a PayFlex account debit card, which makes it easier to spend the incentive monies you earned. You can use these funds to pay for the same healthcare eligible expenses that are allowed with a Flexible Spending Account. This includes office visit co-pays, pharmacy copays, dental, vision and much more.
Be sure to check out the Health Incentive Program details on the NAF Health Plans site under the Wellness tab. You may also view information about the Medicare Advantage with Prescription Drug (MAPD) plan for post-65 retirees, and much more information about your health plan.
Associates can receive $150 in incentive credits by completing a biometric screening no later than Nov. 30, 2023. Visit the NAF Health Plans site for more information about all available Health Incentive Credits.
Quest Diagnostics will be at the Exchange HQ Nov. 15 and 16 to offer a free and confidential screening. If you haven’t signed up yet, you can do so at my.questforhealth.com. User registration key is DOD2023. Enter your Aetna W# on your Aetna insurance card. If your spouse would like to join you, enter the Aetna W# with an S after the W#.
Aetna is holding a series of calls to go over all new information. Make sure to join to hear all about the new way to earn money by completing health incentives! Please see the call schedule below.
Associates can contact HRSC if they have questions (HRSC@aafes.com /1-214-312-6190).
