Exchange Cuts Ribbon on Updated Fort Eustis Express with Three New Restaurants
The Exchange unveiled $1.8 million in upgrades at the Fort Eustis Express with a ribbon-cutting on Nov. 6.
733rd Mission Support Group Commander Col. Frankie Cochiaosue, 733rd Mission Support Group Deputy Commander Keith Morrow and 733rd Mission Support Group Command Sgt. Maj. Jared Matthews joined Joint Base Langley-Eustis Exchange General Manager Katy Litterer in celebrating the renovated store.
The Express features three new dining options: Hunt Brothers Pizza, Eddie Peppers Mexican Grill and Chopz, which offers salads, sub sandwiches, burritos and more.
Shoppers will also be able to enjoy an expanded Snack Avenue assortment, as well as new coolers and updated graphics and decor. Self-checkout lanes will be added next month.
“The new and improved Express offers convenience and variety for Fort Eustis Soldiers, families, retirees, civilians and visitors,” Litterer said. “With the three restaurants open whenever the Express is open, community members can grab fresh food on the go throughout the day.”
The project, which took about six months, was funded entirely by the Exchange.
Anyone with installation access, including visitors, can purchase food at the Express and Exchange restaurants. Shopping and dining at the Exchange supports the JBLE community, as 100% of Exchange earnings are reinvested in military communities through support for on-base quality-of-life programs, as well as capital improvements, such as the renovated Express.
Congratulations Katy!
