YOKOTA AIR BASE – The Yokota Air Base Exchange is providing Airmen and their families with more telecom options with the opening of Rakuten Mobile at the Yokota Community Center concessions mall.

374th Airlift Wing Commander Col. Andrew Roddan and 374th Operations Group Superintendent Chief Master Sgt. Kristofer Reyes joined Yokota Exchange General Manager Andrew Defelice and Rakuten Mobile leaders in cutting the ribbon on the new store.

Rakuten Mobile provides Wi-Fi routers for military members, their families and authorized civilian shoppers to rent or purchase at affordable prices with no data limit.

“Having a ‘plug-in-and-go’ service from a known provider like Rakuten Mobile provides more variety, convenience and competitive pricing for Yokota Airmen and families,” Defelice said. “The Exchange is committed to making life better for the community through services like Rakuten Mobile.”

The Yokota Exchange location is Rakuten Mobile’s first on a military installation and first in English.
