Hot Stuff Coming Through: Exchange Introduces New Quick-Serve Restaurants at Expresses
Shoppers at an increasing number of Expresses will have an opportunity to try the Army & Air Force Exchange Service’s latest quick-serve restaurant, Hot Stuff Kitchen.
The grab-and-go program serves up favorites, including breakfast sandwiches and bowls; chicken sandwiches, wraps and tenders; burritos; stuffed bites; cinnamon rolls and more.
As part of the Exchange’s aggressive approach to expanding quick-serve restaurants, Hot Stuff Kitchen joins Hunt Brothers Pizza, Chopz and Eddie Peppers to continue to build on the success of the Express programs.
The first Hot Stuff Kitchen opened at the Fort Cavazos III Corps Express in July, and six more have opened since. The Exchange will bring a taste of home to troops overseas with the opening of eight Hot Stuff Kitchen concepts in Europe in 2024. At least five more are planned for CONUS this year, as well.
“Hot Stuff Kitchen has been a great addition to Fort Cavazos,” said General Manager CJ Morganfield. “Customers love the quality, the price point and the variety.”
Hot Stuff Kitchen has unique features that make it a strong fit for Expresses. As a grab-and-go option, it has a small footprint that makes it versatile for Expresses of any size. Stores can curate their own menu for different mealtimes, maximizing sales by providing customers with what they want when they want it.
“We’re seeing a great response from customers,” said Marc Szantyr, Exchange convenience food program specialist. “Hot Stuff Kitchen and other quick-serve restaurants are a tangible way the Exchange is improving the lives of our service members and families with value and convenience.”
