Western Region recognizes Vee Savage, Ryan Caprak and Paul Ortiz for their outstanding hard work and unwavering dedication to our customers.

Vee started his career working in the stockroom right after high school. In April 2024, he will celebrate 39 years of service, all of which have been at Vandenberg Spece Force Base. Vee is the embodiment of Family Serving Family. His father was in the military and during his time here he has built a very large external family—a loyal customer following. Vee is our top MILITARY STAR performer with more than 75 approved applications in FY23 and has significantly contributed to our 14,000 Exchange Protection Plan sales. He takes pride in his department and eagerly shares his vast product knowledge with his customers and peers.

In addition to working staffing and planning, Ryan assists with our other concepts to ensure that we are meeting our customers’ needs. He is the combined activities manager’s right hand in all aspects from theater to helping with marketing. The consistency Ryan brings to the food concepts cannot be measured in dollars. He is a true asset to the Malmstrom community and the foreman we all wish we had!

Driven by his prior military service principles, not only does he meet deadlines, but he also exceeds them with a smile and unwavering dedication.
