In 2016, the Vandenberg community was introduced to authentic and delicious Cuban cuisine through the Cubanissimo food truck. Since 2022, owner Arqui (second from left in photo) and his team have been an integral part of the Vandenberg Exchange mall. His sales for fiscal year 2023 were more than $294,000—contributing 9% in year-to-date sales and 10% in year-to-date income. Arqui has a loyal following within the Vandenberg community and surrounding towns. He was even featured in Travel + Leisure magazine! Arqui is always ready to lend a hand, always going above and beyond for our community to get their day going!

Lilibeth is admired by her customers and peers—always kind and respectful, she quickly adapts to the ever-changing pace in our Express. With five years of dedicated service, she ensures that our Snack Avenue and self-checkout areas are full, clean and well-stocked for our patrons. Lilibeth’s hard work has led to a 15% increase over prior month, and a 13% increase year-to-date in Snack Avenue sales. Thank you, Lilibeth, for all you do!

Olaf runs one of the Exchange’s best Qdobas. If there is a way to make sales grow, he and his team will figure it out. Olaf has pushed to improve his facility and has cross-trained his team in different areas of Qdoba, and even in other facilities to help when needed. He has increased sales by 11% over last year, above financial plan 9.8%, and direct operating profit is 53% above plan. Our brand inspections maintained 98%-98.5% for the year with a goal of 100% in 2024, earning the team a spot in the Queso Club. Consistently receiving compliments from their customers, Olaf and his team make customer service a No. 1 priority.
