From the Managers’ Conference: Global Connection, MILITARY STAR Challenge Cup and Safety Award Winners

The Exchange’s Retail, Food and Service Managers’ Conference honored the winners of the Global Connection, Safety and MILITARY STAR® Challenge Cup awards.

Global Connection Winner

The Global Connection Award, presented by the Exchange’s Equal Opportunity Employment Diversity & Inclusion (EEODI) Directorate, honors stores that communicate the Exchange’s mission to support inclusive environments where diverse skills, perspectives and backgrounds are valued through in-store events and outreach programming.

“This year’s Global Connection Award winners embody what EEODI is all about,” said Anna Jeffries, the Exchange’s associate EEODI officer. “Exchange stores are at their best when their workforces are inclusive, diverse and connected to their communities.”

Director/CEO Tom Shull presented the award along with Jason Rosenberg, president; Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Kevin Osby, senior enlisted advisor; Marla Randolph, executive vice president and chief operating officer; Tom Lozier, executive vice president and chief administrative officer and Jeffries.

Winner: Edwards Air Force Base, Western Region

Worldwide Safety Award Winners

The Worldwide Safety Awards are presented to the Region, Exchange and main stores with the highest reduction in recordable accidents compared to the previous year. This award signifies the dedication and work that management and associates alike put forth in making their Exchange a safe environment for both associates and shoppers.

Shull presented the awards along with Rosenberg, Chief Master Sgt. Osby, Randolph, Lozier and Vice President of Loss Prevention Tommie Caudle.

Region Winner: Mid Central Region

Recordable Accident Reduction: 20 fewer (-29%)

MILITARY STAR® Challenge Cup Winners

The Exchange also honored one region and one Exchange as winners of the MILITARY STAR® Challenge Cup, which awards top performers who increase MILITARY STAR card usage and new accounts from the previous year.

Shull presented the awards along with Rosenberg; Chief Master Sgt. Osby; Randolph; Senior Vice President of Exchange Credit Program Tommy Ward; Vice President, Credit Strategy Grant McCloud; Program Manager Albert Perez; and Program Manager Brandon Crowder.
