Yellow Box Furniture Opens Nearly 29,000-Square-Foot Store at Camp Foster
The Okinawa Exchange celebrated the grand opening of Yellow Box Furniture on Camp Foster on April 12. The 28,624-square-foot store replaces a former Camp Foster Yellow Box that was more than 10 times smaller.
The grand opening ceremony was attended by Col. Jason Beck, AAFES Pacific Region Commander; Shota Noborikawa, Yellow Box Director; Isoroku (Roku) Motomura, Yellow Box Store Manager; Naoko Teruya, Services Business Manager; and Kristine Cowley, General Manager, Okinawa Exchange.
“We are thankful that we can enhance this collaboration we have with Yellow Box,” Cowley said. “They truly are providing our Warfighters and their families with a ‘sense of home’.”
Added Col. Beck: “The collaboration with Yellow Box allows a great number of options for our service members to outfit their homes with furniture not only from Japan, but from around the Pacific. Yellow Box is a great option as they have very reasonable prices and constantly change their inventory to keep customers coming in. The collaboration is perfect for the unique environment of Okinawa!”
