Visitors to the Cannon Air Force Base Fitness Center can enjoy a variety of better-for-you food options thanks to a new permanent storefront for Groovy Grubs.

Groovy Grubs offers healthy picks, including protein shakes, acai bowls, salads, breakfast bowls and wraps. The location marks a permanent concessionaire location for the former vendor partner owned by Josie Frizzell, a military spouse of a Cannon Airman.

Services Business Manager Maria Rivera and General Manager Joanne Bedford were joined by Frizzell, along with 27th Special Operations Mission Support Group Commander Col. Barry Roche and Chief Jessica Baldwin, for the grand opening celebration.

“Groovy Grubs is the perfect addition to the fitness center and the Cannon Exchange’s dining lineup,” Bedford said. “The variety of better-for-you options for our Airmen, families, visitors and other personnel will be a welcome addition.”

Wonderful to see an Airman’s spouse owning her own business! I hope the Cannon community makes her a huge success!
