Fort Liberty Exchange General Manager Thomas “TK” Kuttamperoor and Starbucks Store Manager Karolyn Madera are seeing stars after they earned two corporate awards from Starbucks: the Starbucks Star and the Green Apron.

Kuttamperoor received the Starbucks Star Award for displaying a high level of accountability to support the mission, values and objectives of Starbucks. Madera took home the Green Apron for achieving a positive outcome for their co-workers, customers and community by going above and beyond.

Starbucks leaders joined Kuttamperoor, Madera and the North Post Exchange Starbucks team in-store to present the awards April 10, recognizing the managers’ leadership and execution of the Military Family store recognition.

In February, the Fort Liberty North Post Starbucks was named the first Military Family store on an installation, unveiling patriotic artwork, with guidons, American flags and murals at the largest Army installation in the continental U.S.

“We’re honored to be recognized for a job well done in support of the best customers in the world,” Kuttamperoor said. “The team did a tremendous job working together to unveil the first Military Family store on a military installation. It’s an honor to receive these awards.”
