Service members at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson can now enjoy access to fresh-baked goods in the main Exchange food court thanks to Dolce’s new unattended kiosk.

Offerings from the kiosk include cheesecakes, pastries, grilled cheese and pizza. The kiosk is restocked with various items from Dolce, which can keep food at the appropriate safe temperatures whether hot or cold, and complete cooking of hot items after ordering.

A ribbon-cutting was attended by Lt. Col. Alfred Fryman, 673d Contracting Squadron commander; Bobbi Lee Jewett, Dolce owner (pictured above); Keola Chan, JBER Exchange general manager; and Dahlia Haliburton, JBER Exchange services business manager. Free cheesecake samples and Dolce merchandise were provided to those at the grand opening.

“This new food offering is a welcome and unique addition to the JBER dining lineup,” Chan said. “We are excited to do our part in supporting a local business and Alaska native who is all in to bring these delicious new options to our service members.”

Dolce was founded in 2016 by Alaska native Bobbi Lee Jewett as a mobile espresso trailer and has grown to include catering, wholesale, subscription boxes and self-contained kiosks like the one at the JBER Exchange.

The kiosk is available during main store and food court operating hours—Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., as well as weekdays when the food court opens at 6 a.m.
