Hot Stuff Cooking in the Kitchen: Expresses in Europe Get New Flavor
The Pulaski Express in the Kaiserslautern Military Community recently welcomed Hot Stuff Kitchen, one of seven locations to open in Europe this year.
The newest quick-serve restaurant to join the Exchange, Hot Stuff Kitchen now has 19 locations worldwide.
“Hot Stuff Kitchen is an important addition to our community not just for the convenience but the menu as well,” said Ashlee Destajo, Pulaski Express store manager. “Where else can you find biscuits and gravy or chipotle buffalo grilled chicken sandwiches in Germany? Our customers appreciate that little piece of home.”
In recent weeks, the Exchange opened Hot Stuff Kitchens at Vicenza Air Base in Italy; Ramstein Air Base, Vogelweh and Baumholder in the Kaiserslautern Military Community; Grafenwoehr, Vilseck, and Stuttgart in southern Germany.
“We’re seeing a very positive response to the new concept,” said Grafenwoehr Exchange General Manager Alex Mamaril. “Customers appreciate the price point and our ability to tailor the menu based on their preferences. It gives them a quick and affordable option to grab and go.”
Hot Stuff Kitchen offers value across the Exchange’s customer demographics.
“Quick-serve restaurants like Hot Stuff Kitchen make it convenient for service members and families to grab a meal on the go,” said Divisional Merchandise Manager David Arens. “It’s exciting to see this concept launch in Europe, where a taste of home matters even more.”
Hot Stuff Kitchen is the Exchange’s second quick-serve restaurant concept to come to Europe. Hunt Brothers Pizza has 20 locations in the region. Quick-serve restaurants continue to resonate with military communities, notching $40 million in sales in 2023. Growing the concepts remain a strategic priority for the organization.
