JBSA-Lackland Refreshes Food Court Lineup with Chief’s Corner Bubble Tea
The Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Exchange’s North Troop Food Court welcomed its first bubble tea shop June 27, offering hydrating beverages to authorized shoppers at Chief’s Corner Bubble Tea.
Store Manager Tonja Norris, Services Business Manager Magaly Colon, the services team, Chief’s Corner CEO and Navy retiree Jerry “Jay T” Terry and the Chief’s Corner team cut the ribbon on the new beverage shop that serves fresh and milk teas in matcha, banana and taro creams, coconut, lychee, mango, passionfruit and more flavors.
“This new offering brings diversity to the food court as a place to grab a quick and refreshing drink while visiting the Exchange,” Harris said. “The Exchange is excited to provide the community with another option to pique their taste pallets just in time for the hot summer months.”
Chief’s Corner, founded by Terry, supports military families with better-for-you beverages including the freshly brewed teas. The restaurant also serves the special needs community as a career development resource, giving individuals with disabilities and special needs a place to work.
JBSA-Lackland also has plans to open a Panda Express and Auntie Anne’s this year.
