Offutt Air Force Base Exchange welcomed concessionaire War Hawk Café to its dining lineup in July, offering made-to-order meals inspired by celebrity Chef Marvin Woods.

Vice Wing Commander Col. Aaron Gray, Chief Master Sgt. John Splitter, General Manager Justin McIntyre, Services Business Manager Julie Gregory and Woods cut the ribbon on the new restaurant that serves breakfast burritos, fried chicken, salads and more to Building 500 visitors, giving the Offutt community another place to dine.

“This is the first new dining option at Offutt in 14 years. The restaurant has been performing well since it opened,” McIntyre said. “We’ve received a lot of positive feedback from Airmen and Officers. This is yet another way that Exchange serves those who serve, and we are proud to bring more to the Offutt AFB.”

Chef Woods is an Emmy Award-nominated television host, celebrity chef, restaurateur and author. He is also known for his involvement with former First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign.

War Hawk Café is owned by retired Sailor Jerry “Jay T” Terry. He also owns Chief’s Corner, which opened in June at JBSA-Lackland Exchange. His business supports military families and the special needs community as a career development resource, giving individuals with disabilities and special needs a place to work.
