HURLBURT FIELD – Service members, families and visitors at Hurlburt Field have a new better-for-you dining option at the Express.

1st Special Operations Mission Support Group Deputy Commander Lt. Col. Jamie Gegg joined Hurlburt Field Exchange General Manager Sheila Clark in cutting the ribbon on Chopz, a quick-serve restaurant that offers subs, burritos, salads and more, including options that align with the Exchange’s BE FIT 360 program.

“The Exchange is pleased to expand the dining choices available to the Hurlburt Field community, especially for those who work later hours,” Clark said at the Aug. 23 grand opening celebration. “Most of our restaurants on the installation close earlier, so having Chopz open until 10 p.m. most nights is an important addition.”

Chopz joins Hunt Brothers Pizza at the Express for convenient and fresh meal options available whenever the Express is open.

Anyone with installation access, including visitors, can dine at Chopz and other Exchange restaurants. Shopping and dining at the Exchange support the Hurlburt Field community, as 100% of Exchange earnings are reinvested in military communities through support for on-post Quality-of-Life programs, as well as capital improvements, such as the Chopz restaurant.
