New Exchange Trailer Wrap Hypes Army-Navy Game as College Football Season Begins
The Exchange’s newest tractor-trailer wrap is debuting in time for college football season—a fitting kickoff for the Army-Navy Game-themed design.
The trailer will be on display at the 125th playing of the legendary college football rivalry game at Commanders Field in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 14.
The wrap was designed by Corporate Communications Specialist and Army Veteran Pete Frigillana and features silhouettes of iconic D.C.-area military memorials against a background of red, white and blue; the Army-Navy Game logo; football field yard-markers; and the message “Where Heroes Shop,” reminding Veterans and Department of Defense civilians that they can shop the Exchange tax-free for life.
“With the game being in our Nation’s capital, I wanted to really tie the design to Washington, D.C.,” Frigillana said. “I picked out several iconic landmarks like the Iwo Jima statue, the Three Soldiers Statue and more.”
This marks the seventh year the DoD’s largest retailer is a participating partner in the Army-Navy Game presented by USAA. The game represents an opportunity to reach thousands of Cadets, Midshipmen and members of the military community at the stadium, as well as millions of fans watching on CBS, letting them know that the Exchange is there to serve them.
“It’s always meaningful for me to create designs that resonate with my service,” Frigillana said. “I’m proud to have designed something that a lot of people will see and hopefully enjoy.”
The trailer is currently operating out of the Waco Distribution Center, delivering goods to Exchanges throughout the Central Region. As the Army-Navy Game approaches, the trailer will be based at the Dan Daniel Distribution Center in Newport News, Virginia, and will serve the Eastern Region. After the Army-Navy Game wraps up, the trailer will return to Waco.
