Barksdale BX Starbucks Becoming a Military Family Store
The Barksdale Air Force Base Exchange Starbucks is sporting a new look after undergoing small improvements.
The Starbucks is becoming a Military Family store and received additional seating; new flooring, paint and wall tile; and updated counters and equipment. 2nd Mission Support Group Commander Col. Lance H. McInnish and members of the Barksdale community celebrated the store’s reopening Aug. 22 with free samples of coffee and treats.
“Customers are responding to the upgraded facility, and it’s showing,” General Manger Stacy Firemoon said. “Sales have more than doubled and our command’s support of the upgraded location has been great.”
The Military Family recognition solidifies the store as a true hub for the community, expressing its support of Airmen with military-focused artwork, guidons, American flags and murals. Associates who are connected to the military wear special green aprons denoting their affiliation with the military community.
All of the Exchange’s 81 Starbucks locations are becoming Military Family stores. Stores will receive a designated plaque and artwork as renovations are completed.
