These Central Region associates understand the meaning of Family Serving Family and Serving the Best Customers in the World. They go above and beyond to ensure that the Exchange is providing service and a taste of home no matter where they serve. Thank you, Tamara Prescott Taylor, Jennifer Jaula and Doaa Hassan.

Tamara Prescott Taylor joined the Recruiting Team at Keesler in 2023 and has proved to be a rising star! She consistently provides phenomenal customer service to external and internal  customers with innovating thinking, a positive outlook and an ability to think outside the box when it comes to recruitment. She is well-versed in various social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, and uses the, to attract new talent. She even created a video of associates that had served in the military to highlight them for our 129th Anniversary Celebration/National Day of Hiring. In fact, she recently scheduled a “Meet the Recruiter” event to ensure that candidates were aware of worldwide Exchange opportunities. Customers were delighted to interact with her bubbly personality. She is enthusiastic and consistently partners with general manager, retail and food teams to assist in various events and social-media advertising. She does not hesitate to volunteer when needed, making her a true business partner and team player. Due to her ongoing initiatives and willingness to go above and beyond, she also increased the number of new hires by 95% YTD and consistently promotes a positive onboarding experience for new associates.

Jennifer Jaula goes above and beyond for her customers and received this comment from a recent Sheppard AFB student who reached out to share his exceptional customer service experience with her: “I was a student at Sheppard, and I left roughly 6 weeks ago. While I was there, I placed a special order for a windbreaker. The manager, Jen, informed me that it would be a tight timeline since it was a special order from a vendor. I checked throughout my time there on the status, and it did not show up. I gave up and went on my way to my duty station. Last week, I received a message from Jen saying the jacket had finally arrived. She informed me that if I still wanted it, I could go to my local BX and give them her email address. I did that, and 3 days later, my jacket was at my store. I have never seen customer service like this. I wanted to let her boss know that she did this for me.”  Jennifer’s dedication to follow up on a special order and ensure the customer received his item, even after he had left Sheppard, exemplifies exceptional customer service and commitment. Her actions reflect positively on our organization and highlight the importance of going above and beyond for our customers.  We are so pleased to have Jennifer as part of our team.

 

Doaa Hassan

Doaa Hassan is dedicated to the Exchange mission and is a valuable part of the Exchange team. As the SBM, she is consistently looking for new ways to grow the business. She has a strong  relationship with command and works wit the Defense Commissary Agency. the Air Force, Army commands and Morale, Welfare and Recreation to build partnerships and collaborative events that help to increase sales and strengthen the community bond. If she is not out searching for new business opportunities to keep the mall fresh, she is working closely with our existing partners to support them any way she can.  Doaa opened the first three URU’s for Selfridge Exchange – one of them a full-size Express conversion to URU. She was able to grow her businesses 73.8% above plan and for direct operating results a whopping increase of 93.1% above plan from FY23. Doaa Hassan is making a difference and is a great example of “Family Serving Family.”
