Alerna Fukagawa
Counter Attendant Foreman
Camp Zama Exchange
Alerna Fukagawa consistently goes above and beyond in providing excellent customer service. The most recent customer comment reads: “Camp Zama Main Cafeteria, Bldg. 101, I just wanted to let someone know that your coffee shop employees at Bldg. 101 are going above-and-beyond in their customer service—and it is awesome. The team there is incredibly helpful, personable, and they put extra emphasis on customer service. One great example—whoever is taking a few seconds to write a ‘Happy Friday’ message on the bags. That really made my day, and it is appreciated. Please let them know they are awesome.”
Lee Jung-gil
Yonhap Taxi Driver
Humphreys Exchange – Yonhap Taxi
Mr. Lee Jung-gil, Yonhap Taxi driver, is exceptionally committed to excellent customer service, and consistently goes above and beyond. His dedication was most recently noticed by Inspector Kang, head of the Traffic Safety Division at the Pyeongtaek Police Station. During the Water Light Festival at Pyeongtaek Lake in Gwon-ri, Hyunduk-Myeon, a visitor from Camp Humphreys, urgently needed a taxi to return to the base. Inspector Kang, who was patrolling the Pyeongtaek Lake Tourist Area, reached out to Mr. Lee for assistance. Despite the 40-minute distance from the lake to Camp Humphreys, Mr. Lee, who also serves as a personal taxi driver and advisor to the Pyeongtaek Police Station Best Drivers Association, did not hesitate to assist. He ensured that the military family returned to Camp Humphreys in a safe and timely manor. Mr. Lee’s embodiment of our core value “Family Serving Family” plays a pivotal role in “Making Humphreys Home!”
