Exchange, Bass Pro Shops Officially Announce Collaboration at Bristol Motor Speedway

NASCAR Cup Series Bass Pro Shops Night Race

The military community cruised to victory at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee as they learned about exclusive Exchange benefits during the NASCAR Cup Series Bass Pro Shops Night Race.

During patriotic festivities before the series playoff race in Bristol, Tennessee, Exchange Director/CEO Tom Shull and Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris officially announced the collaboration to offer Bass Pro hunting, camping and fishing gear as well as apparel at ShopMyExchange.com tax-free.

“Availability of the best gear from Bass Pro Shops at ShopMyExchange.com will better connect the military community to nature, conservation and making memories together through outdoor adventures,” Shull said. “Announcing the collaboration at the night race put the message front and center for thousands of Veterans attending in person and nearly 2 million fans watching at home.”

More than 120,000 fans attended the Sept. 21 event with millions more tuning in on TV—many of them Veterans or connected to the military community. The iconic race marked the Exchange’s first time connecting with the military community at a NASCAR event.

During race weekend, which featured the Food City 300 and Unoh 200, Exchange Senior Enlisted Advisor Chief Master Sgt. Rich Martinez and Corporate Communication teammates greeted Veterans in the fan zone with branded swag, reminding them of their lifelong benefits at ShopMyExchange.com and in-store privileges for disabled Veterans.

“It’s always a pleasure to shake hands with Veterans and remind them of the benefit the Exchange provides,” Martinez said. “Being at Bristol gave the Exchange the chance to tap into a different fan base. Veterans were thrilled to see us there and are looking forward to finding Bass Pro Shops gear online soon.”
