Vending Operations Assistant
Hawaii Exchange, Services Office

Mr. Cabasag is a dedicated vending technician who demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and analytical skills during the focus project to optimize vending operations in Hawaii. He researched more than 400 machines to strategically relocate or remove those that were underperforming. Jonathan collaborated closely with key partners, including NEX, Pepsi and Coca-Cola, to streamline operations and ensure high performance across all vending locations. His efforts paid off, as he successfully exceeded the VMIS goal of maintaining under 5% in low-performing machines across the board. His diligence resulted in impressive performance metrics, with Schofield Barracks achieving a low rate of 3.8% and Hickam AFB even lower at 3.4%. Jonathan’s proactive approach and focus on performance improvement not only benefited the immediate locations but also contributed to the broader goals of the vending program.
