ExPost-VeteransDay-2

Special emphasis program HEROES is inviting the Exchange team to attend the inaugural Texas Veterans Day Parade, set for 4 p.m., Nov. 11, in Arlington’s Entertainment District. The parade will honor our Nation’s heroes.

Associates can march alongside an Exchange semi-trailer truck; cheer from the sidelines; or assist in shuttling attendees to the event. Guests and retirees are welcomed to attend.

Associates can click here to sign up for entry. Those who RSVP will receive information on the parade agenda and activities. More information will be provided via text messages from the HEROES group.

The parade route is roughly 1.4 miles, starting in the Six Flags parking lot and ending at Globe Life Field Lot F near the Sheraton Arlington Hotel. For an official map of the route, associates can click here.

Parade participants are advised to wear comfortable shoes. All attendees are encouraged to wear Exchange-branded clothing or clothing with red as the primary color. Service members are encouraged to be in uniform.

“It is an incredible honor to be included in the inaugural Texas Veterans Day Parade, a celebration recognizing the heroes of today and the past,” said Senior Vice President, Real Estate, Mike Smietana, co-executive champion of HEROES and an Air Force Veteran. “Family serving family means family coming out to support family, even just by showing up. We hope to see you there.”

The parade will also feature a musical prelude; the presentation of colors and the National Anthem; a helicopter flyover performed by Bell Flight; a drone show; and music performances at Texas Live!
