Lesley “Kathe” Johnson
Computer Operator
Luke Main Store

Kathe Johnson has proved to be a viable asset to the Luke Main Exchange. Through her use of corporate systems, she has had a positive impact on the facility’s bottom line, helping to highlight areas of strength we can build upon, and areas we can look to improve. She also serves as the main liaison between the facility and the Retail Solution Center to ensure that any issues that arise locally are communicated and addressed at headquarters level. With Kathe’s initiative and expertise, the Luke Main Store recently received a credit of $20,547 for eComm orders double charged by the West Coast Distribution Center. Finally, and most important, with her willingness to help any associate with any problem at any time, she has shown she has the “It” factor that is a staple of the excellence that outstanding operations are built upon.

Jennifer Faloon
Manager, Lewis Main Burger King
Joint Base Lewis-McChord Exchange

Jennifer stepped in to help the Lewis main food court fill a food court manager vacancy this year. She went above and beyond in learning on the fly what it takes to run a food court. Jennifer was always willing to step in and ensure that the food court had everything needed to serve our customers every day. Jennifer is always ready to share her knowledge with the managers of the food court as part of the learning process. Jennifer is a great helping hand for anyone at the Exchange when they are in need.

Madhusudan Jangam
Owner, Himalayan Community Café
Dyess AFB Exchange

“Madhu” opened Himalayan Coffee at Dyess Air Force Base in October 2022, and since then, the business has steadily grown. His dedication to the military community has made Himalayan Community Café a beloved spot at the Dyess Exchange. As the business continues to thrive, Madhu has moved to a larger space in the Dyess food court and is now expanding further with a new location in the medical group! Reflecting on the success, Madhu said, “We can’t think of a single day in the past 17 months where we haven’t felt grateful to this incredible community.” Known for his constant smile, Madhu brings joy to those around him, making it easy to see why he is successful.
