The Fort Liberty Exchange marked a milestone in its mission to deliver the taste of home to Fort Liberty with the recent addition of a Chipotle Mexican Grill at the Glider Express. It is the first on Fort Liberty and third in the Exchange portfolio.

The fast-casual restaurant’s opening represents the Exchange’s commitment to support the health and well-being of service members and their families.

Located in the heart of the 82nd Airborne Division training area, the Chipotle at Glider Express, Building C, 8031 Grave St., is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

Col. Chad Mixon, Fort Liberty Garrison Commander; Garrison Command Sgt. Maj. Daniel Scott; Lt. Gen. Todd Donahue, Senior Mission Commander; Chipotle field leader Kevin Masters; Chipotle team leader Lawrence Jones; and Chipotle Chief Development Officer Stephen Piacentini joined Exchange General Manager Thomas “TK” Kuttamperoor and Exchange Service Business Manager Cheryl Chevis in a ribbon-cutting held Oct. 29.

“The Fort Liberty Exchange’s collaboration with Chipotle marks an important milestone in the development of our community,” Kuttamperoor said. “Besides a bite to eat, the restaurant provides job seekers with an opportunity, a convenient option for parents deciding dinner and a space for friends to get together.”

Chipotle Mexican Grill offers better-for-you options including burritos, rice bowls, tacos and more, aligned with the BE FIT 360 initiative – a program supporting the healthy lifestyles of service members. Chipotle’s menu features low-calorie, low-carb, high-protein items, including vegetarian, vegan and keto-friendly meals.

The Exchange opened its first Chipotle Mexican Grill in 2016 at Freedom Crossing at Fort Bliss and its second at the Clear Creek Exchange shopping center at Fort Cavazos. 100% of Exchange earnings are reinvested into the community through Quality-of-Life programs and capital improvements designed to help make military communities stronger.
