The Yokota Exchange celebrated the grand opening of the second Yellow Box Furniture Storefront location in the Pacific Region on Nov. 8. The 5,000-square-foot store opened in the Yokota Community Center, expanding the Exchange Concessions footprint. Exchange Leadership from Okinawa, Yokota Exchange associates, Yellow Box furniture store employees and eager Yokota shoppers attended the grand-opening ceremony.

“With Veterans Day this week and the holiday season upon us, this is the ideal time to provide ‘comforts of home’ selections with the opening of the Yellow Box furniture store,” said Yokota Exchange General Manager Andrew Defelice. “This is a great Quality of Life initiative, providing an extensive assortment of American and Asian furniture with cultural home décor selections at affordable prices for our service members and their families at Yokota.”

Yugen Gaisha C&D (aka Yellow Box) was founded in 2004 and started a partnership with the Exchange in 2006, under a long-term roving contract. The Exchange started a long-term commodity contract with the Yellow Box furniture store on Camp Foster, Camp Courtney and Kadena Air Base in 2011. The first Yellow Box furniture store front opened at Camp Foster in April 2024.
