About 50 Exchange associates, including special emphasis program BRIDGE and allies, came out on a sunny but brisk Saturday morning to participate in the Dallas Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade.

Exchange President Jason Rosenberg, Senior Enlisted Advisor Chief Master Sgt. Rich Martinez and Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Dr. Patrick Oldenburgh Jr.—along with BRIDGE co-executive champions EVP and Chief Operating Officer Marla Randolph and Vice President of Services, Health and Wellness Denise Hunter—were among those who walked in the mile-long parade.

The Exchange team was joined by an Exchange truck, driven by James Williams of the Waco Distribution Center, as they walked the parade through the streets near Dallas’ Fair Park. Spectators greeted the Exchange with waves and cheers, especially for Martinez and another active-duty associate, Chief of Inspections LTC Roshun Steele.

“Pride and gratitude are the words that describe what today meant to me because of your support and recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy,” Randolph told the associates.” The energy was phenomenal, and it would not have been successful without you. Your actions epitomize ‘family serving family.’”

This was the Exchange’s first time participating in the parade, which had about 200 entries. To view photos from the parade, check out this Flickr album.
