FORT BELVOIR – The Exchange Credit Program celebrated its collaboration with Discover Global Network in a big way—53 feet long, to be exact.

Six new MILITARY STAR tractor-trailers—53-foot rolling billboards—are on the road across the United States reminding service members, military families, Veterans and Department of Defense and Coast Guard civilians that the card, now powered by Discover, is the one card for their military lifestyle.

The trailer design was officially unveiled outside the Fort Belvoir PX on March 26. The Army & Air Force Exchange Service administers the MILITARY STAR card, which is accepted at all exchanges, commissaries and other partners across military installations.

“This stunning trailer makes it crystal clear,” said Exchange Director/CEO Tom Shull. “The MILITARY STAR card is truly the one card that supports the military community. From young service members establishing credit, to helping military families while PCSing, the Exchange Credit Program is a Quality-of-Life force multiplier.”

Fort Belvoir Exchange General Manager Kim Neiss applauds as the MILITARY STAR trailer design is officially unveiled at Fort Belvoir. Six new MILITARY STAR tractor-trailers are on the road across the United States reminding eligible Exchange shoppers  that the card, now powered by Discover, is the one card for their military lifestyle.

MILITARY STAR’s collaboration with Discover allows the card to be accepted by additional services and providers on military installations, including concessionaires, name-brand restaurants, third-party vendors, certain Morale, Welfare and Recreation activities and more.

Senior Graphic Designer Veronica Kim, who works in Corporate Communication, designed the wrap.

“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to contribute,” Kim said, noting that this was her first trailer-wrap design. “The ‘one card’ is now on the road, and I’m so excited for the military community to see this.”

Kim is a military spouse—one of more than 4,500 spouses who have careers with the Exchange. Before Kim joined the Exchange at Dallas headquarters last year, her husband, who serves in the Army Reserves, was working at Fort Belvoir.

“Having the truck unveiled at Fort Belvoir is special for me personally, because of my husband’s connection to the installation,” she said.

The trailers will deliver the message across the United States – two each support the West Coast Distribution Center; the Waco Distribution Center; and Dan Daniel Distribution Center.

Fort Belvoir celebrated the trailer unveiling with MILITARY STAR Day special discounts for the community. The Exchange Credit Program, Eastern Region, Logistics and Corporate Communication worked together to make the event a success.

“Seeing Fort Belvoir show up for the unveiling highlighted just how much MILITARY STAR means to the community,” said Grant McCloud, vice president, credit strategy. “The card’s expanded acceptance was a huge win for the Exchange and the military community in 2024. Celebrating the collaboration with Discover at Fort Belvoir—complete with a new truck wrap—was a milestone worth the wait.”
