Fort Hood’s Clear Creek Exchange Shopping Center Welcomes Bath & Body Works

The Exchange unveiled its new Bath & Body Works store at Fort Hood’s Clear Creek Shopping Center on Dec. 17, just in time for Soldiers and military families to stock up on fragrant gifts for the holidays.

Fort Hood is home to only the third Bath & Body Works on an Army or Air Force installation —Fort Lewis and Ramstein Air Base are home to the others.

Fort Hood Garrison Commander Col. Chad Foster helped Fort Hood Exchange leaders cut the ribbon on the store, which offers bath and skin-care products, fragrances, candles and more.

More than 140 shoppers Fort Hood lined up to be the first to browse the store and participate in the giveaways.

“I was super excited when I found out we were getting a Bath & Body Works,” said Kasaya Hansberry, a military brat shopping the store. “I don’t have to go off post. I’m getting Christmas gifts today—this is perfect.”

The addition of Bath & Body Works is part of a plan to improve the shopping center as the Exchange works to improve the quality of life for the military community at Fort Hood.

“The Exchange is committed to improving the shopping experience for the Fort Hood community,” said Fort Hood Exchange General Manager Chris Haefner. “The addition of Bath & Body Works at Fort Hood is part of the Exchange’s quality of life improvement strategy–bringing trustworthy and valued brands to the military community.”

Recent enhancements to the shopping experience at Fort Hood include the addition of Freshens to the TJ Mills Food Court and TOP TIER™ fuel from Valero at Express gas stations.  Early next year, an additional micro market is planned in the Soldiers First Center.

Shopping and dining with the Exchange benefits Warfighters and military families, as 100% of Exchange earnings support the community. In the last 10 years, the Exchange has provided $3.4 billion in earnings for critical military Quality-of-Life programs.
