He is leading the Mary’s Place team to continued success and driving purpose by delivering smiles and building rapport, all while earning a 3% year-to-date gross profit increase and a 9% increase in MILITARY STAR penetration rate.

During a recent deployment, the Lewis-McChord Panda Express team stood out above others in its efforts to serve the community. Due to low foot traffic other food concepts closed. Not only did Panda Express remain open, it brought in additional staff from other locations to keep the facility running at full speed. The team’s dedication to the Exchange and the Lewis-McChord community is unsurpassed. Thank you to this whole team because without them, none of this would have been possible!

Mercedes consistently goes above and beyond to assist our customers. She comes to work with a big smile and energetically asking, “What needs to be done today?  What can I assist with?  If you need me to help cover on my days off, just let me know.” Mercedes goes the the extra mile to ensure that our customers and her teammates—who have become more like family—are taken care of.  We have several daily regular customers; she is the first to know what they need before they even ask.
